Barrio Fiesta!

Celebration of Philippine's Independence

Every year my family attends the Barrio Fiesta for the fellow Filipino's here in the UK. The Barrio Fiesta is an event which celebrates the day the Philippines gained its Independence.

Even though it can become repetitive, I still enjoy and love the fact I get to feel and absorb the friendly vibes of the festival. Not forgetting, eating the yummy, delicious! Filipino food available. Filipino food is just simply scrumptious.

Here's just an insight on the event:

There is normally "kapamilya", Filipino artists ranging from actors, singers and dancers which perform in these events.

Parades such as the Santa Cruzan is a popular event every year, where young teens all commonly escorted, from each district of the Philippines and with titles , dress up and parade around the festival.

My favorite part of the even is the stalls available in the event where you can buy your favourite food, which is quite uncommon and harder to come across here in the UK.
